Tokyo Sleep-Infused Leadership™ Workshop
November 1, 3–6 PM JST, Tokyo. Experience includes Japanese incense ceremony, tea ceremony, Sleep-Infused Leadership™ identity restoration, founder-level clarity work, and Sanctuary Luxe rest rituals.
Workshop Overview
RESET & RISE™
RESET & RISE™ is a four-hour leadership identity workshop designed to help modern leaders restore clarity, presence, and direction in an increasingly demanding work environment. Sleep deprivation is a global epidemic affecting decision-making, communication, and emotional steadiness. This workshop blends sleep-infused leadership strategy, identity restoration, and Japanese cultural presence practices to support sustainable performance and grounded leadership.
Participants will complete the Sleep Leadership Identity Assessment, identify their patterns of overextension, and explore how sleep functions as a strategic advantage that strengthens clarity, decision making, communication, and executive presence.
Koh-do Incense Experience
This is meant to create a meaningful pause for participants to reflect with intentionality and allow the aromas to fill the room and transform the mind into a calm place. The journey connects Japanese tradition and personal wellbeing.

Beneatha Barkley
Leadership Identity & Sleep-Infused Strategy
Beneatha Barkley is a U.S.-based leadership strategist, wellness coach, and founder of The Sleep Enclave™, where she helps leaders restore identity, reduce overextension, and use sleep as a strategic lever for sustainable performance. Her work sits at the intersection of leadership development, workplace wellness, communication, and rest-informed strategy, helping leaders understand who they are when rested and how clarity, decision-making, and executive presence are shaped by the way they recover.
She brings a multidisciplinary background that includes an MBA, change management training, wellness, sleep and lifestyle coaching credentials, and experience across higher education and corporate partnership development. She also volunteers as a wellness coach with Anise Health, a culturally attuned online mental health platform serving Asian Americans. Through her Sleep-Infused Leadership™ approach, Beneatha translates rest into practical workplace language: restoring capacity, communicating with steadiness, leading with clearer judgment, and sustaining ambition without abandoning wellbeing.
Izumi D. Matsumoto
Leadership, Learning & Wellness; Japanese Zen Practice of Presence
Izumi D. Matsumoto is a Japan-based health and wellness success coach for leaders and a longtime practitioner of Japanese Zen presence. Her work helps leaders integrate wellness, purpose, and self-awareness into the way they lead, so success is supported by clarity, groundedness, and whole-person wellbeing.
She brings experience across learning and development, sales, human resources, and global team connection, along with an M.Ed. and related professional certifications. She also uses psychometric tools focused on personality and leadership to support self-awareness, communication, and intentional growth.
Through Ikigai-focused, mindfulness-based experiences, Izumi helps leaders reconnect with purpose, strengthen emotional steadiness, and create a more sustainable relationship with performance. Her presence-based approach complements the workshop’s focus on sleep as a strategic lever by helping participants slow down, listen inward, and return to leadership with greater clarity and intention.
